I just updated my iPhone app, the one with the Naim Radio, and it asked me to log into my account. I tried to do that but it wouldn’t recognise me. I reset my password and now have a Focal-Naim account which has lost all of my product registrations. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you get back to a Naim Audio Account which I assume is where my registrations and other data lives?
I’m confused as well as I thought I was registered. Automatic registration failed and I’m being asked to register manually.
I have written Naim support about this. Let’s see what they say. According to my new app (v8.0) all my streamers such as a Uniti Nova, an NDX 2 and a first generation Mu-so need to be registered! That is worrying. Wonder what they have done to their database?
I know I registered all my products and used my account to sign in to the app. I just checked the website, and they are still registered, so for some reason, the app can’t access this information.
I have just the opposite, after having to change my password and log into the Focal-Naim webpage and not the NaimAudio webpage, none of my apps are registered and I couldn’t register any of my streamers from the new Naim app. Oh well, they will sort it out in time.
Unfortunately @bhak the only way I found to (re) add/register my products was to log into the Focal/Naim product registration page, delete my products and re register them - bit of a PITA really.
Unless someone’s found a better way by now…….?

I too came to that conclusion but maybe if they read these posts, they could go and reset the pointers between the Focal-Naim and Naim Audio databases. It certainly would the users some time!
My products are registered on naimaudio and focal-naim and manage my products enters a working forever state.
Forever, I like that. This is a database-link bug in the Focal-Naim app, and we are ‘cleaning’ it up for their programmers. It will take time. I have no idea how many users/customers Naim and Focal have worldwide. I’ll guess 50,000 (you can scale). I know I have spent over an hour sorting out my change in password and account (starting iPhone and then to Mac), then that is 50,000 hours or 2083 days or close to 6 years! That is a lot of time to fix what would normally be a simple data migration. Oh, I still haven’t registered my products with the app says I have to do manually. I guess that is close to forever.
Well I have spent more than an hour trying to work out what I can and cannot achieve with this new system that does not seem to give any benefits to Naim’s customers.
I signed onto my Naim account and found that none of my products were now registered. I have a total of 14 Naim boxes so re-registering all of them was not a task I was looking forward to. However to ease this task the new system is refusing to register anything over about 5 years old which is the majority of my kit. This also includes my Muso QB which the App insists that I register, so Naim now seem to be annoying themselves as well as their customers.
Even registering newer kit was not straight forward as the system refused to accept the serial number of my Superline.
I was also disturbed by the message suggesting that if I did not create an account and register my products I may lose “continued access to Radio”. I am assuming (hoping) I misunderstood the intent of this sentence or are Naim really going to turn off their radio service to unregistered streamers?
paging @Ophelia (beta test) there seems to be a problem here
Hi All,
We’re looking into this, and hopefully should have an answer soon.
In the mean time, we’re getting the text changed regarding the radio - it should read that registration is required for the in-app radio. You won’t lose access to the radio via the streamers!
These issues also won’t affect any warranties. Service/support have access to all registrations; paper, Naim server and Focal & Naim server, so re-registering a product won’t affect the original warranty registration.
It does seem slightly odd that it wasn’t possible to import all the existing registrations over but I guess there were reasons. It’s a one-off admin task so not a big deal.
I noted my Nait 50 which I’ve reregistered via the app now only shows the legal 2 year warranty but from what you’ve said above, I assume any extended warranty is still in place?
Thanks
Steve
Without being the least bit provocative, most databases can export flat files with headers etc and should be imported into a new database. That can be a ‘last resort’ of the databases can’t ‘talk’ to each other.
Hi
My NDX2 device has disappeared from the Naim app still and all I can see is Radio which is not connected to the NDX2.
Any update? Thanks
Thanks
Mine drops occasionally as does my Uniti Nova (different rooms). They always come back. Good luck.
Has anyone else had issues with the Naim App recently?
Mine has changed
Going to settings :-
Why has ‘Create Account appeared – I have one – must have as I registered my NDX 2 when I bought it
I tried signing in – password failed – got a link to reset it – that did not work either
Not sure if signing in to the app is the same as Naim forum, but I am now worried about trying to log off forum & re log in in case it fails
I have now just tried to sign in to app. Clicked forgotten password – no eMail reply?
What to do?
Selecting an album to play – then play from this track produces the picture below – fine – as always
When I tap the bottom bar ‘Melody’ which used to show a list of tracks to be played I get what is below with a light background ???
In App settings the ‘Appearance’ is set to dark
I would just like to get it as it was !?
Any help greatly appreciated
I had the same. It looks like now it is Focal/Naim the whole backend has been reset. I created a new account using the same email address I used previously and I would have expected it to say that email address has already been used but no, it created a new account. Once I’ve created the new account the reset password link worked straight away because it now knows I do have an account. It just looks like all the previous accounts have gone
It’s a different account (not related to forum)
There is another thread on this topic in the Lounge titled
Password & product registration Naim app with radio
This includes very helpful information from @Paul.B.
Perhaps @Richard.Dane could consider merging the two threads.
