Then get a taxi or uber, it’s as simple as that. NYC is tiny geographically.

Naim and some other brands used to make it very clear that they expected their dealers to install their equipment in the customers home, and ensure that it was functioning properly, and that the customer understood how to use it and was happy with it’s sound quality. This was very much part of the service included in the premium prices charged for these products, and not something offered as a special favour or at an additional cost.
If your treament by a dealer is different from this, I suggest that you contact the manufacturer and ask them what they believe is reasonable.

I bought Naim products from a dealer less than 2 miles from my house and he flat out refused to install them. I spoke to a Naim executive at the Bristol Hifi show (clue alert - less than 3 miles from the said dealer’s premises) but he didn’t want to know. Said Naim executive (no longer at Naim) also wasn’t bothered that the same dealer was incapable of installing firmware updates to a Uniti. I am happy with the dealer I now use which is over 100 miles away.
Moral is that dealers vary wildy in competence and service but Naim ain’t interested in dumping the rubbish ones.
