Pics ‘From the Listening Position’

Frosty start to the day, fortunately the bike is in the cabin.

Now playing The Hissing of Summer Lawns, Joni Mitchell. Not very appropriate for the frosty exterior maybe.

Probably one of the best looking speakers I’ve seen, beautiful to me, & they don’t look to dominate the room.
If I may, they’re very close to the back wall (something my speakers need to be domestically) that’s against most reviews, do you pull them forward when listening or are they fine as they are?
Thank you :+1:

Thanks. The rear side of the speakers are roughly 30 cm from the back wall, which is about half of what the instructions recommend. It works really well in my room, though I suspect might be an issue in smaller rooms. The bass by design is very well controlled, with no hint of boom. Incidentally, I’ve heard that the founder of Audiovector and designer of both the original Trapeze and the current Trapeze Ri (for Re-imagined), Ole Klifoth, tends to put the speakers quite close to the back wall in most cases, and I know he likes to play his music loud!

Yeah, he’s a very interesting character.
I have a Picasso as well from his new release, but it’s in hiding as I bought it for Mrs Q for her birthday in March.
I really like his work.

Thanks @PSAN that would suit our room.
Always nice to keep a list of potential ‘near back wall’ speakers, especially when they’re as good as these :+1:

Currently enjoying Elvis Costello’s The Juliet Letters.

Naim’s multiroom is so clever. We have Rigoletto playing on Radio 3 on the Atom HE in the sitting room, and on the Qb2s in the dining room and kitchen.

Love my A7s. What they lack in grunt they more than make up for with that sweet midrange!

Setup looks so relaxing. Congrats!

Last nights entertainment at the Hall for Cornwall, very enjoyable.

Avoiding “Call the Midwife” yet again :grimacing:. Trusty old SuperUniti & B&W 683S2s sounding fine.

I feel your pain, thankfully Mrs Pete lost interest after some cast changes.

Ahh, the Superuniti, excellent kit. I sold mine on when I bought an SN2 and wish I had kept it.
Sigh.
Happy listening.

Call the Midwife is not my cup of tea either …
