Pics “of the listening position”!

We have lots of pics FROM the listening position, but what about the opppsite? Where do you settle yourself down for a proper session?

This pic is from in between my speakers. Wifely constraints prevent me pulling the sofa away from the wall.

Nice sofa!

That’s a really nice looking setting.

Very cosy!

Good idea, nobody needs to be shown what shelves full of black boxes look like!

Is there room for you there?

Not always!

This is most common position, currently vacant!

Edit: changed cushions since first posting – having never viewed the listening position before I hadn’t realised how tatty the cushions were!

Looking at the bare ceiling, I’m thinking I should go outdoors and do something fun on this sunny day under the big blue sky.

Nothing too exciting here. Summers here, so sunny with the door to the garage open and a glimpse of the harbour. Photo of Miss Mike at old Sarum on the wall. Cheers.

A few pictures of my listening position in the Show us your pets thread. The PPs often chuck me out and make me sit off-axis.

Hi sweetie, any news of your daughter? I hope she is well.

Cheers, she is doing great thanks. She is on summer holiday from High School now and has had a great and busy year.

Here she is in Auckland performing at the end of year show for the Glass Ceiling Arts Collective. All the local and regional groups come together for an end of year celebration - she is the one at the front leading one of the dances from their Shrek Junior show that they did earlier in the year with 5 live performances. This is a large theatre that we have been going to for a long time for her since she was young to see the NZ ballet, and now she is up on the same stage doing her own thing, so that is a real celebration.

I’m lucky to have plenty of space behind where I sit to listen. Previously the couch was hard against a wall and the bass was a bit too much. All walls are brick though I suspect the aperture and glass bifold doors cause a few problems. I’m sure the perfect room is rare but I’m very happy that my family let me use this space to let my ears run riot in.
