Pink Floyd WYWH

50th anniversary details out now - no new material (unsurprisingly)

Not sure I need the box set but be interesting to see what kind of job they do on it.

There are 25 bonus tracks on the Hi-Res Blu-ray disc version with 16 being a bootleg concert from 1975, so extra material is being provided.

I will probably put the Blu-ray on my Xmas wish list, although whether the included concert gets anywhere close to the magnificence of “Wembley November 1974” remains to be seen.

It’s much better- and it’s not even the best show from he 1975 North American tour!

I never quite liked this album for some reason, compared to the DSM and the Wall.

It is good to see the CD is priced honestly at €23. I will stick with my vintage 50 year old vinyl.

I read there is, a lot

Here’s the blurb from SDE

The 2CD and 3LP editions feature the album plus the nine bonus tracks discussed above and the box set features the same content (but the three LPs are exclusive on CLEAR vinyl) and adds an exclusive fourth clear vinyl LP : Live At Wembley 1974 , plus a replica Japanese seven-inch single of ‘Have A Cigar’ b/w ‘Welcome To The Machine’. The bonus Wembley LP only features two tracks: ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ and ‘You’ve Got To Be Crazy’, which means ‘Raving and Drooling’ from the same gig remains exclusive to the 2011 reissue. So while there’s some exclusivity around the formats (clear vinyl, Wembley on vinyl) there is no exclusive audio in the box set . Everything is available somewhere else. If you are wondering about ‘memorabilia’ (marbles?), the box comes with a hardcover book with unseen photographs, a comic book tour programme and a Knebworth poster.

They state no new exclusive audio material

They do state no new exclusive audio but if you have a different source please share.

@Farthings-cat Gary, I think you have misread. Sinclair is saying that there is no material (ie music) in the big deluxe box that’s not available on the Blu-ray, CD or streaming/download formats. There is about 3.5 hours of previously unreleased material in the big box, as outlined by @AndyP above

Won’t it be Sony who get the money? The boys sold their catalogue to them last year.

Haven’t they already sold their entire catalogue ?
