thanks Ian I’m about to trial an SN3 with the NDX2 on the speakers and will report back. I gather from other sources that the KEF’s can be a bit glarish with the wrong electronics but that they settle completely with more powerful components. Whether one could argue the SN3 is this is up for grabs but reports suggest it is a smooth delivery so fingers crossed. I think the Harbeth signature may be a better match btw. I have the spendor classic 100 in my main set up and I think that’s part of my problem - familiarity with a warmish tone (like Harbeth) and better electronics to drive them.
You will be getting yourself into a whole range of likely permutations and wallet strain potentially - but also and hopefully some fun working through to a solution that works for you - best to take some time - do lots of demos and dont feel pressured to make any quick decisions
