The Naim App is now just randomly reordering my playlists!
You’ve probably pressed the shuffle icon.
Nope! And it’s not doing it when I play an album.
Guilty as charged on that one
Martin
What kind of playlists? M3U playlists on a USB drive or NAS? Or playlists from a streaming service?
From Core.
Turn it off and on again?
Yep done that Nigel!
I noticed this also. It also seems to reorder the list every time you select the playlist to start playing it.
This is from the Core to ND555
My Naim Unitilite having been replaced as the main hi fi has been relegated to the orangery. Last summer after listening to a Tidal playlist on it, a large part of the playlist disappeared. Could this be a related issue? My main playlist now contains over 2,400 tracks so this sort of thing is more than a minor nuisance. As a safeguard, this playlist is now backed up with a copy playlist. (At the moment the Unitilite is unusable, as I am struggling to connect to it following the introduction of a new broadband router. Not helped by the failure of the screen on the unit).
Thanks, it must be a going glitch with the app.
It’s either the app or the Core. When I go to the playlist from the Core menu it does the same thing as thru the nd555.
I’ve reinstalled the app and also rebuilt the music database on the core.
Yeah I’ve done both, still the same. @Stevesky I think there’s a glitch with the app?
Hi, are you using Android or iOS app?. Isuggest raise a support ticket with our team and they’ll aim to get to the bottom pf what is going on.
Best

Steve thanks IOS.
iOS for me
Guys,
I have raised a ticket and David McDonald responded very quickly. It’s an issue that manifests 2 ways, either random reshuffling of a play list, and/or not being able to reorder a playlist.
The Software Team are working on a solution.
Best regards,
Lindsay
The easiest way to overcome the new router problem is to connect using an Ethernet cable rather than WiFi. Another easy approach is to change the SSID and password in your new router to be the same as they were in your old router.
Regarding the screen on the Unitilite, you may be able to get Naim to replace just the screen for you, rather than do a full service. A screen replacement is a lot less expensive, but I don’t know whether they are doing these at the moment.
Alternatively you could buy a replacement screen on eBay. There is a seller in France who supplies new Naim screens which you can fit yourself. I have done this on my Unitilite and it’s not hard to do, but it does require you to get quite intimate with your Unitilite’s inside parts, and requires a steady hand and careful handling.
On my iPhone - App version 8.1.1 doesn’t seem to fix the reordering issue.
No not at all.
