Plug-in Order for Hicap & NAP (Olive Series) / Powerstrip

Good evening,
Do you follow a specific order when plugging devices into a power strip? Specifically, I wonder if the Hicap should come first and then the NAP. How do you handle this?

In my setup, the power strip includes an iFi plug-in power supply for the Wiim Pro streamer and the inexpensive 12V power supply for the Funk Firm Gett turntable. Does the order matter, and how would you arrange it?

What do the electrical engineers in the forum think about this?

Usually it’s sources first then pre then power then ps.
Etc from cable input.
Others say different.

You might not appreciate the answer.

I’m prepared for anything … including hard-hitting technical facts!

So if an elec. eng. says it makes buqqer all difference?

I personally I don’t think it matters,
I have just put a dedicated mains in,
And I can’t tell any difference in SQ
You could Keep the stripe accessible swap plugs around, experiment a little,
See if you can tell any difference,
Or Just plug it all in and play some music,

A Graham’s Hydra is pretty good for taking the worry out of what best to plug in first. One ply and as many heads as you need.

Don’t forget that Hicaps and NAPs like 200/250 etc. have an on/off switch on the front when you plug these devices in make sure these are in the off position. Then switch them on by the provided device switch. Naim says you should use this switch to power on and off in their manuals.

Personally, when I have had to switch off my system when I am going away for a number of weeks for instance I have the habit of switching back on with the Hicap and NAPSC first then the power amp. I can’t say if that is best or not it is just a habit. I suspect it does not matter much.
