Power consumption of the new classic compared to the old classic

From having read the manuals for the 332 and 350 it is recommended for best sound quality to select instant on.

Used this way what is their comparative power consumption compared to a 252/super powered by a 300?

Also if standby is used, is the time to sound optimal different between old and new classic?

Power consumption is similar between the two ranges.

Most losses at idle are due to the magnetising loses of the power transformer cores. The new transformer cores use the same high efficiency magnetic grain oriented iron.

Differences will be down to say swapping a NAP300 for a pair of 350s. Now there are two transformers and twice the loss.

Warm up time again is similar.
