Could anyone advise me…power draw of the following…
NAC552
NAP500
ND555
555PSDR x2
Cheers…
My 552, 500, 555, nDAC and Innuos Zenith draw 90-95W without music. About 40W is for the 500. If you added 20W for the 555 you would not be far out. Playing music at 8 o’clock adds 10W to the 500 and it could be 40W or more!

With electricity at 30p per kWh, that’s £250 a year. I’m glad I just have a Nova and that it’s set to go into standby after 20 minutes.
I don’t feel so bad now with Solar and batteries. I’ve been dumping 11kWh from 4-7pm at 36p/kWh and another 10 before that. May the Sun keep shining. Well those figures are through cloudy haze, so could be 50kWhs soon.

Fascinating info Phil, thanks

Power amp and one of the 555PS powered off should make a big difference. Just leave the 552 and analogue side of the ND555 powered up.
Thanks guys…I switched off my system and have been watching the smart meter…my stack appears to be drawing approx 150watts…at idle…
That’s £1.22 a day at the price cap. Let’s hope it’s 100% renewable energy. Whether it’s affordable or not it just seems wrong. That’s what’s so good about the new classics, they can go into standby.
I do agree hh … when I had the NDS it was rediculous it ran really hot (I had a fan on it to keep it cool)…the ND555 is much better. The new classics are really good. Naim really ought to do an upgrade for the original classics to enable a low draw standby. Does the Statement go into standby? Anyway I am currently having installed a big solar system - so there should be no issue - unless the quality of the mains from the inverters is bad…time will tell.
We are looking into the same thing. The only concern about using the power is that you are putting less back into the grid, but you can’t have everything.
Flux?
Oui

Ok until autumn rolls in reckon.
May depend on whether they require a month at the standard variable rate before going on a different special tariff.
