Hello, I have the ND5XS2 streamer and a Samsung 860 evo SSD and I am looking to pick an enclosure to use it with the rear USB port. Does anyone know if it is worth it, in regards to sound quality, to have a powered enclosure with seperate linear power supply or to just use a BUS powered enclosure? Would power run through the USB cable even with an externally powered drive? I have just transitioned from CD and am new with this digital audio.
