The manager can’t take all the blame.
I suspect it is just like Arsenal nearly 20 years ago.
The hundreds of millions for a new stadium have to come from somewhere & then be re-payed with interest. Despite boards saying it won’t affect the managers ability to recruit, I can’t believe this to be the case.
I felt that Wenger was always loyal to the club when invariably replying that he had all the players he required when it was obvious that he didn’t. After paying for the stadium there probably wasn’t much money left over.

A tangential mention for The Posh winning at their second home, Wembley again yesterday.
Mind, Birmingham played like they hadn’t had their bins emptied for a few weeks, a load of rubbish.
