Premier League Football 25/26

Nice looking kit

Nicely understated. Will go well with Levi’s and Sambas :slightly_smiling_face:

That’s not a good look.

Is he Shooting Up? :weary_cat:

Meh. At least they got rid of that ludicrous shiny lenticular badge.

FLASH AH- AHHHHHHHHH !
Saviour of the South Stand…

Except he generally won…

… nothing. Hence Tuchel (at phenomenal expense I imagine).

Stupid game, stupid tournament, Chelsea same old but…But a 30 minute cameo from Delap suggests we have something different now.

At least until Maresca systems it out of him.

Respect to sports fans in Atlanta for staying away, despite the whole Americanisation of the thing…Superior Player of the Match and all…

I’m firmly in the camp of ā€˜just why’ do we have yet another tournament with some hopelessly mismatched games BUT as a lover of South American football there are games here to excite. Boca v Benfica last night was great and Fluminense v B Dortmund on now is also terrific. The tournament winner will be a good side for sure.

Do these players get any sort of a decent holiday? Season not long ended, international games played (friendlies and qualifiers) and pre season coming up in a couple of weeks - I don’t know what they are feeding them!!

They must have a lot of knocks and I would hope at least a month to recover

The players, sadly, are just cash cows I think. That said they’re so well paid it’s difficult to be too sympathetic.

One thing’s for sure, my own team couldn’t live with this level of performance. The big teams aren’t messing around. They’re in it to win it.

So our first game is moved to Monday night v Everton. Nothing changes. Thankfully it’s a home game. Let someone else try the docks first. Our first 5 are tougher than the first 5 for Burnley & Sunderland. Let the fun begin.

Although I am not convinced we need such a competition, I will pick and choose a few games to watch as the timings work well for me.

The first half of Real Madrid vs Al Hilal has been very entertaining so far

Al Hilal have been surprisingly good I think. And I agree, pick and choose games. By the semis or whatever they do we should have some evenly matched sides.

Tough start to the PL season for The Arsenal

Man United away, Leeds United home, Liverpool away, Nottingham Forest home, Court Case FC home, Newcastle United away.

No puerile team names this coming season please Bob :rofl:

A Newcastle supporter would say that

Watching Chelsea vs Flamengo. Chelsea concede 2 in 3 minutes to go 2:1 down and so send Nicolas Jackson on. 2 minutes later he gets a straight red for a truly ugly challenge. No matter what skill this guy has, he is a liability for his team.
