Hoping someone can offer some help. I’ve recently purchased a used Naim Unity Atom which I am loving so far. However I am having issues with the Naim app on my Galaxy S23. The app works to a degree however after about a day of installing it I am unable to access most of the settings, other than the app settings tab. All I get is a spinning circle. Also when the app is running on the home page the bar at the bottom where input or song title etc shows it says “Not Playing” and never shows anything else here.
I have tried uninstalling it then reinstalling it, first time I did this it didn’t make any difference and I ended up having to factory reset the Naim, but it stopped working properly again the following day. I then tried uninstalling and re installing the app again and this time it worked - for a day. The following day I got a software update for the phone (a security patch only it said) then the app worked again - for a day.
I have installed the app on my Galaxy Tab A9+ tablet and don’t seem to have any issues here.
Does anyone have any idea whats likely causing this and is there a way to fix it? I know the tablet is working but I don’t really use the tablet and don’t want to start it up every time I want to use the hifi when everything is on my phone.
A number of people are reporting problems with the app especially on Samsung phones at the moment. Suggest you contact Naim support and with luc they will be along with a fix soon. However some people (including myself) are not having any problems at all so I fear it may be a bit of a pig for Naim to track down the problem.
Just downloaded it so will see how it goes. So far everytime I have got it working it’s the next day before it stops so will see if it’s still working tomorrow. However I don’t use Qobuz only Tidal so if that’s the only issue they’ve fixed not sure it will make a difference. Fingers crossed
Well I’m happy to report it all seems to be working fine now. It’s always been the following day it’s stopped and it’s still working so fingers crossed it keeps doing so.
I reinstalled the app yesterday (again) and all seems well today. Mine issues also seemed to start the day after reinstalling the app so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
