Not sure if anyone has mentioned album booklets, but this is a big plus for Qobuz. Now that it’s settled down, Qobuz Connect works very well.
Agreed.
Thanks so much everyone, seems there are quite a few people with both. and some great detailed answers , Thank you so much.
Well they get my plays on Qobuz and they get paid more for them than they would on any other mainstream platform. I can’t be held responsible for what everybody else chooses to do.
I attend some gigs, but very few artists come to Cheltenham, so generally it is at least a 100 mile round trip to see anybody with attendant add on costs. There are very few acts worth that much trouble, I even passed on Bonnie Raitt this year because it would have meant a trip to Wolverhampton or Manchester and I’ve seen her twice before.
I only rarely buy downloads and I no longer buy physical media - I already have too much stuff, I don’t want any more.
If all this means artists can’t make a living, it doesn’t seem to be stopping anybody from trying and (as it ever was) some of them are making it and succeeding so it doesn’t weigh on my conscience.
One of the other things is the superior amount of payout that the artists get.

That’s the only fact that matters.
The download process isn’t very difficult. You can either download from the website after purchasing or using the Qobuz downloader. The latter works very well (at least on Windows).
Having done the maths and spoken to a couple of artists my conclusion was that the difference regains so small as to be meaningless.
