Apologies if this is a naive question. If I install Qobuz on my iPhone and sign up for the Hi Res service. Does AirPlay 2 stream in hi res from the iPhone to the Atom? Do I need a DAC? I’d be very grateful for any advice please.
Install the naim app, link it to your qobuz account and off you go.
Nothing actually streams from your phone, its a controller in reality.
You don’t need to install the qobuz app on your phone .

You don’t need another DAC, the streamer in the Atom will feed any signal to its built in DAC.
Qobuz can be controlled from within the Naim app. Some people prefer to use the Qobuz (or Tidal) app on their phone, in which case you can ‘cast’ the signal to the Atom using Airplay, but only at 16/44.1, so you lose the benefit of the 24 bit material you get from Qobuz.
