So, yesterday I was streaming from the Qobuz app but today, Qobuz cannot “see” my streamer. The NAIM app is playing “from” Qobuz.
I’ve searched settings and “Help” pages but can’t discover anything.
What am I missing?

Do you normally use an active vpn connection?
Yes. I thought that might be it so I disabled it. After a while, Qobuz “saw” my streamer. I then toggled the VPN on again and it’s still OK.
Odd.
I am no expert on this but, if you are playing music from Qobuz via the Naim app and then try to play music at the same time from the Qobuz Connect app does it “confuse” the hardware/software, hence you are not able to see your device in Qobuz Connect???

No. Playing from Connect just switches off the stream playing via the Naim app and switches on the Qobuz app stream. I’ve just tried it!
Roger
Turns out, it’s the VPN. D’oh
Thanks Roger. Seems like my great theory has been shot down in flames!!! ![]()
Well at least your up and running again and some forum member have learned a little more about the technicalities of streaming ![]()
Also discovered that running the VPN severely affects the performance of my Momentum 4’s. Something to do with latency in the WiFi connection.
Sheesh.![]()
Qobuz Connect was a bit wonky when I tried it recently; played one track and then errored out.
I went back to using Roon for Qobuz.
Weirdly, although the app displays a connection to my streamer and that a track is playing, nothing happens on my system and the light on my nDAC is off. This is corrected by starting some audio using the NAIM app, after which, the Qobuz app then performs.
What a faff!
I’ve noticed that if my 222 is not already on, Qobuz Connect won’t be able to, er, connect. I always need to wake it up first with the Naim app, and then can use Qobuz Connect. This is a recent development, as was never an issue a few months ago. Weird.
Presumably you know that there are different levels of sleep with the 222? You need it to be either on Network Sleep or fully on for it to be discoverable on your network. If you have it on Deep Sleep, then it won’t wake up unless you do it yourself.
Oh thanks. Let me check then. I didn’t realise!
Ah ok!
One short press on the front panel button puts it into Network Sleep whereas a 3 second push on the front panel button puts it into Deep Sleep.
I’m so over Qobuz Connect.
One, it always defaults to playing on the device I want to use as a controller, e.g. MacBook Pro, rather than the last device I used (e.g. Mu-so Qb2); secondly, the metadata and presentation really sucks, and; thirdly, it never wants to switch to the [Naim device] Qobuz Connect for my wife from playing on her iPhone to the Mu-so Qb2, or for me playing on my MacBook Air. Sometime I have to force quit the Qobuz app to make that work. Qobuz software fail!!!
I was going to cancel Roon, to save money, because I thought maybe Qobuz Connect sounds better on my NDX2, but I rarely use that anyway. Anyway, I’m going back to Roon. It works so much better and has much better metadata.
So for me, Qobuz Connect is a fail. Not for the sound quality, but for the user experience.
Thanks Robert. I was experiencing the same issue, so adjusted my VPNs after your suggestion and Qobuz Connect fired up for the first time immediately. It’s bullet proof now. Good on you.![]()
Oh gawd. Back to QC not finding my streamer again. VPN off.
What a bunch of arse.
