Hello everyone,
This may be a daft question & I’ll probably feel very foolish once your great minds have answered
I use Qobuz on a Nova.
Within the Naim App (iPhone 15) how do you shuffle all tracks in Qobuz/My Tracks?
On a 2nd gen Naim streamer you can shuffle any play queue once you have created it, but you cannot make a queue of more than 500 tracks which may be a sticking point for many users.
Another problem is that you can only add tracks to the play queue one at a time, so adding them all would be very time consuming. Possibly achievable if you were to add each track to a playlist instead of/as well as making it a favourite.
This issue is the same in the Qobuz app too.
Thanks Chris,
Unfortunately thats a problem for me. I like to listen on shuffle - I get to hear random music I wouldn’t normally have chosen.
I can do this at the moment with Roon but I’m stuck on an old version & searching for new music is very poor (I suspect due to the version of Roon I’m on).
It’s an issue that gets raised here every so often by people who would like to do what you describe, but can’t. Maybe worth making your feelings known to Naim support as they might conceivably think it’s worth doing something about it if they see that people want it.
Why are you “stuck on an old version” of Roon? Can you not update it?
I’ll drop Naim an email & see what they say.
I’m using a MacMini thats quite old (2012 I think) so Roon 1.8 legacy is as far as I can go without buying a new replacement.
On the Qobuz app you actually can shuffle all ‘my tracks’ creating a queue in one clock. Bottom right I can see a shuffle button. I’m on Android and using the beta version of the app.
On Focal/Naim app I cannot see that option available. This leave you with Google Cast option only, until Qobuz Connect comes out. If ever.
when shuffling playlists on qobuz app it seems to shuffle first 50 tracks then next 50 etc so not really random
