I don’t think that Putzey could be accused of not seeking the highest standards of fidelity.

People buy what they are led to buy, that’s what the marketing world is all about.

People buy what they want to buy, most purchases are emotional hence marketeers play us like puppets, we are led but we perform our due diligence and make a choice. Old formats get replaced by ‘better’ new products but my understanding is that Naim set out to build better hi fi, their ethos is highest grade extraction followed by least pollution of signal gives best replication of what the musician/producer wanted to be heard. I haven’t accused Putzey of anything, I just think that his best effort of a Statement level integrated amp might be further improved by separation a la Naim without necessarily degrading his polished signal path…
