R I P Wilko, So sad
Such a fine guitarist, and such a cool dude. He was so influential, and kept going to the end. I saw the news and had to play this.
RIP Wilko, thanks for some great gigs.
Wilko Johnson passed away on Monday evening 21st November. Sad news.
Only saw him the once with the Feelgoods, but i never forgot his performance……very sad.
The man had style. Bless you, Wilko.
RIP. Great guy and an inspiration for all !
One of the greatest rock n roll musicians in history. RIP.
RIP…
@Richard.Dane It would be more respectful if his name were spelt correctly in the title. Could you change it, please? Wilko, not Wilco.
Very sad news. Brilliant guitarist and wonderful stage presence.
You never forget being machine gunned by a guitar!
Very very sad indeed. Dear oh dear. Fabulous musician and a great character - always enjoyed hearing him interviewed too - the one John Wilson did with him on Front Row after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer was particular moving.
I was lucky to see him on several occasions with Dr Feelgood and post Feelgood. Unforgettable for all the right reasons. A sad day, but not the end of his music or his legacy.
very sad and will be much missed here.
I’ve just returned home this afternoon to this very sad news.
Managed to see him several times, both with The Feelgoods, and more recently with Norman and Dylan.
What stage presence he had, eyeballing the front row of the audience, as he moved around the stage as if on castors.
Often overlooked though, was that he was a mighty fine guitar player, too.
What a damn shame.
Just heard. So sad. Great musician and he also had wonderful sense of humour, sometimes in his darkest times. R. I.P
A sad loss. Must play some Wilko his afternoon.
Was recently playing ‘Stupidity’ and idly wondering how he was doing.
What a technique he had.

What a gem he was.
