Radio Listening Data 1st QTR 2020

Following on from 4th QTR 2019, this is RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research) latest UK radio listening data for 1st QTR 2020.

The 50% target has been long passed, but as BBC has proposed that switching off FM is premature for numbers of reasons, the eventual national FM switch off is on hold for a few more years.

This quarter figures show up some unexpected changes to previous trends.
FM continues to decline but ‘All’ Digital is almost static, despite that DAB has declined as has DTV.
The big growth in Digital has continued to be On-Line (web radio) & has shown another significant QTR of growth.
What impact the CV pandemic will have is yet to be seen, I suspect 2nd QTR will hold that answer.
