Tiny problem but nevertheless quite irritating…
Anyone else got this?
Can’t say I have. Have you tried swiping the app off the Home Screen to close it, and then reopening it?
Yes I have. Rebooted router as well as it’s affecting both Nova and Musos.
Suppose next step is to reinstall the app - though that’s a bit of a faff. Will try later when I’m back home.
You shouldn’t need to delete and reinstall. First try Clear Image Cache. If that doesn’t work, try Reset App.
Tried both without success.
BTW it’s only the radio stations that are missing. All the others - playlists, albums etc - all fine.
I had this a while back on my NDX2.
They disappeared one by one if I selected and started playing any one of them.
Then for no obvious reason, they came back again a couple of days later. I’m not aware of doing any action to cause either their disappearance or their reappearance.
I notice the avatar, or whatever the correct term is, doesn’t show on the bar on the bottom of the screen but if you select this and go into the ‘now playing’ screen it’s there and they no longer seem to disappear from either the ‘Presets’ or ‘Radio’ list.
Not sure what i did but they’ve come back now.
Thanks to all who responded.
Until the next niggling irritation then….
Since posting about this issue the radio station logos/icons/avatars (or whatever we should call them) have permanently disappeared from all my Naim devices.
Have tried full power cycles restarts, deleting and re-setting the presets and even reinstalling the Naim app - all without success.
Can anyone shed light on this. Have Naim stopped supporting this feature?
As expressed above, it’s only a niggling defect that doesn’t affect the music playback.
But oh dear I’m getting increasingly niggled by it!
Thanks - alas mine have gone from every OS on which I’m running the Naim app. That’s iPhone, Mac and an Android tablet.
Doesn’t seem to matter which Naim devices I’m running either, have tried removing all of them to see which might be causing the issue.
What a pain. Hopefully nothing too drastic but as my NDX2 and iOS app is showing, I wonder if something in your network settings might have changed causing a block or something - auto update firmware on your router perhaps?
Yes i’ve been thinking the router might be blocking the images on the app for some inexplicable reason.
Another odd aspect of this is the logos appear normally in the radio station directory, it’s just when i save them as presets they won’t appear on the app home screen!
I have a QB1 and a QB2. The QB1 behaves exactly as you’re describing: no logos on the Home Screen, but all there in the stations directory. However, the QB2 does display the logos correctly on the Home Screen. I guess that means it’s unlikely to be a router issue at least in my case.

Cheers, I do hope my QB2s haven’t suddenly decided to identify as 1s
Same problem like you. It’s interesting that also widgets from the focal-naim app menue on Android show absolutely nothing than black space, also if you have added your favorite radio stations. And another fun fact is that one of my three Mu-so devices has all the Icons in the overview of presets but “play now” is showing no icons. A second device doesn’t show any icons for radio stations at all. And the third device has just one icon in the overview.
The firmware on every Mu-so is up to date, the app has been reinstalled, the cache has been cleared, and each Mu-so has been restarted after unplugging it.
My network hasn’t changed for month now so I don’t see any issue on that.
TIDAL icons are displayed without exception.
I assume it is caused by the radio service provider (maybe in regard to regional restrictions). I’m located in Germany.
I was on the right track with the geographical restriction and have now solved the problem. All you have to do is define the “focal-naim” app for split tunneling as an exception in the VPN settings so that the VPN bypasses this app. That’s it—all the icons are back.
Well that’s very interesting and helpful - thanks for sharing.
I was about to say it made no difference to me whether the VPN on my iPhone was connected or not. But then I deleted the VPN app entirely and guess what? They’re all back.
Sees very odd to me. I’ll try reinstalling the VPN app later and see what happens.
I used for several years Google VPN on my various Pixel devices without these issues. It started to hide avatars with switch to Nord-VPN. I’m annoyed with myself for not having considered this possible reason sooner.
We have all our devices in UK and Germany through Nord, never experienced this behaviour.
