Reggae Music

Since there seems to not be a dedicated Reggae Music thread anymore perhaps we should start another one off.

I just bought this excellent remix/dub record by the excellent British producer
Al Breadwinner released on Hornin’ Sounds from France.

It’s a reworking of The Right Procedure LP by Soul Power and Sound which was a CD only release on RAS back in 1988.

Recently posted this on another thread. Cracking little album albeit a little poppy / commercial.

Great band Live & Direct was one of my very first introductions to Reggae.

They deserved their chart success and the money it would have brought them. Whenever I see a band crossover into the pop/commercial world I always think good luck to them.

Handsworth Revolution is a fantastic record and has been discussed many times on the forum.

What is your favourite Steel Pulse record?

I have Tribute to the martyrs and handsworth revolution. The second one I prefer.
They were excellent live but listening to a reggae band with mud up to the knees was a bit odd to say the least
