Registering product

Is it still necessary to email Naim support to register a product? I just tried to register two on the website, but the only Naim products you can register are a Naim-for-Bentley Muso 2 and a Uniti 2. If so, what information is needed?
(I did manage to register something else back in August last year but it doesn’t seem possible anymore, at least on the websites I was directed to.)

Yes, register via Naim support.

Thanks Richard.

So, any idea how long to wait if you haven’t heard anything?

Isn’t that really for UK customers?

I’m in the U.S. and it seems pointless to me. I always registered in the past and heard nothing. Ages ago I would get a magazine for a little while (IIRC), but that was a really long time ago. I don’t understand the benefit for me as a U.S. customer. I have to go through my dealer and Focal-Naim N.A. anyway. Hell, I can’t even get one of those new narrow Fraim rear stanchions from them. They (i.e. Naim in North America) can’t figure that out – even after I provide the exact part number – so I gave up on it.

Yes, it’s for UK customers.

Outside of the UK there’s little or no benefit I’d imagine, although registering with the distributor for your country may have benefits, such as possible extended warranty, or newsletters, or Email updates etc…

As for the new narrow rear Fraim leg, that seems somewhat bizarre. Unless they have taken a decision not to import it, but if it exists as a Naim part no. then it should be available for them to order.

I gave my dealer the exact part number for that Fraim leg, and that’s what they gave Focal-Naim N.A. At the time they were clueless, and it had already been shipping to UK customers for a while. I gave up. It would be convenient to have one or two, but I don’t really need to have any. I also have no plans to get NC kit.
