Remote control problem

My beloved Nait 5i has been playing for 15 years without problems, but the remote control hasn’t been in a month. The batteries are new, but more than 30 cm away from the nait does not work.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Someone needs to ask - does volume work but not input selection? If so have you selected “Pre” ?

Everything works perfectly. Over 30cm from the nait does not work.

Is it the original i-Com remote? Or a Narcom?

Have you tried a different remote handset? If you don’t have one then I find it’s well worth getting a Narcom to replace the i-Com, which was not particularly nice or reliable.
