Remotes and RC codes

I currently have 4 Naim controllers for streamer(narcom5),pre(narcom4) and tuner(narcom?) and I’ve just installed an Arcam CD player but either of the Naim controllers are sending signals to both the Naim device and Arcam CD and vice versa. I need a universal controller but it seems like the preferred Harmony Elite universal is no longer being sold so what’s the current recommendations?

I’ve never needed one before and so not sure how they work. I suppose I need a list of the RC Code 5 codes for each unit to allow me to programme the controller to make sure I’m not going to suffer from this cross pollination issue? Where can I get the relevant codes from? It’s all classic black box vintage so there’s no Zigbee/Z Wave protocol requirements.

Naim use the Philips RC5 protocol, as do a number of other makers, including Arcam. It does of course mean that if you have an Arcam CD player with your Naim system then the Narcom can control the Arcam player too. I use a Meridian player as a transport in my Naim system and the Flash remote works just fine with it.

If you want to program a 3rd party universal remote with discrete codes then I think naim support can supply these for you for Naim kit.

Thanks Richard. Anyone know which 3rd party remote now that the Harmony remotes are no longer available. Some are pretty cheap so I’m assuming they are cheap for good reason.
