Retrofuturism Thread

Hello Stokie
Greetings from Mopar land USA. I have a 69 Plymouth Satellite onvertable that I restored all the way to numbers matching. The car is show room fresh and documented. The paint is called sand pebble beige,a nod to Steve McQueen from his movie by that name. Factory AC with an 8Track no seat belts.

Very nice Gordon, I can imagine the hours you put in with the restoration. Where I live there are many classic cars, a legacy of the once flourishing industry. We drove a John Cooper ex-works Mini Cooper S for a few years, which was a lot of fun. Like driving a go-kart. But the British climate isn’t kind to these cars, unless you can keep them garaged on wet days. When I was young, a friend’s family collected and restored Jowett Javelins with suicide doors.. The best examples went to shows, but they used one as a family run-around too.
