Age 72. In their prime they introduced the energy of punk into Irish folk and captivated a young audience. At his best Shane MacGowan was a fabulous writer and his band enabled his spirited performances. Darryl Hunt has some writing credits, including ‘Love you till the end.’ He was a permanent member of the band 1986–1996, 2001–2014.
