RIP Leslie West

Another true legend passes. What a pigging rotten year.

R.I.P Leslie will have to dig out some Mountain to play

For me Leslie West was up there with the guitar greats.

Sad News. I have a couple of Mountain LPs and also one of his solo albums.
Will play one today.

Damn! Got to be Mississippi Queen. Two minutes thirty seconds of some of the filthiest raunchiest guitar work on record. Oh and a cowbell too. Play it loud bigman wherever you are!

RIP. I was lucky enough to see the reformed Mountain at “The Return of The Knebworth Fayre” in 1985. Nantucket Sleighride is an incredible piece of work.

A very sad loss. I remember seeing West Bruce and Laing at the Manchester free Trade Hall in 1973. Made a heck of an impression on me. RIP Leslie.

Always a fan of Mountain/Leslie West, first saw them Strathclyde Uni 1972 and 30 years later on the Renfrew Ferry, great gigs, great guitar player. R.I.P big man.

Instantly takes me to ‘World at One’ with Brian Walden
