RIP Paul Johnson

I write in tribute of a gentleman and a scholar, and an English historian who turned his eye across the pond and genuinely got to know America. Paul Johnson, my favorite historian of the United States (and the favorite of many others), died recently at the age of 94. This interesting podcast by Jay Nordlinger in The New Criterion pays tribute to Mr. Johnson by means of a curated playlist, as music was a big part of Mr. Johnson’s life. Anyway, I share it here for those who appreciate Paul Johnson’s writing already, and for those who might be interested in getting to know the same.
