Another one has gone. My first proper gig was UFO supported by Girl 1980. RIP Mr Way!

He was a lovely bloke - we worked together in a china warehouse in 1969 when UFO were just starting out and became good friends. They all lived in a house in Bounds Green and we had some wicked times! I remember going with them to a gig which turned out to be a children’s party in a church hall. Their manager at the time was well dodgy - he used to show blue movies in the front room of their house to audiences of well dressed businessman types. They didn’t really mix with all us stoned hippies!
