I saw her live back in 2007 at the Olympia in Dublin with Foy Vance as support.
Her debut album is still a brilliant and awesome album with the great Marco Pirroni on guitar.

Very sad news indeed. Blimey. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one to be stopped in their tracks by this video when it first came out. Sinead’s version so much better than the original from Prince.

Unconstrained, unrelenting, unforgiving, unapologetic, cursed, blessed, just about everything possibly imaginable in one soul. A meteor whose light will shine on long after this generation, taken much too early. Terribly sad news. RIP Sinead O’Connor.
