Roberta Flack r.i.p

One of those classic female artists of her time……killing me softly, takes me back to lovely times, every time. R.i.p

That’s sad news. With the right song she could make time stand still. R.I.P

Loved her voice…

Loved her ‘Killing Me Softly’ which was the song my wife and I choose for our first dance at our wedding.

I’m very saddened reading this. “Where Is the Love” is one of my favorites. I’ll be spinning “Tryin times” and “Killing me softly” tonight. RIP

‘First Time Ever I Saw Your Face’ is possibly the most beautiful song ever recorded.

I was unaware that Roberta Flack had left this world. Her partnership with Donny Hathaway produced some wonderful music.

An unmistakable and beautiful voice and it will endure through her recordings people will be appreciating her songs for a very long time.

A favourite of mine is her rendition of “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” by Carole King & Gerry Goffin her silky but powerful voice is just fantastic but of course there are many others.

RIP.

RIP. I’d forgotten that at one time she was married to Steve Novocel, bass player with Rahsaan Roland Kirk, among others. She was a classy artist and invariably had very good musicians in her bands.
