Room correction on Nac 272?

I very much agree, I reached the same conclusion.

Applying a digital correction before the DAC (in my case creating new files with the correction already applied so as to minimise processing during replay and give it the best chance of working) still caused a degree of loss of quality. I’m very much a believer in a) getting the replay sorted out well b) fixing remaining problems with room treatment where possible c) using digital room correction applied to the bass channel ONLY (i.e. a sub!) d) as a last resort using full range digital room correction; applying fixes in this order.

If the listening room is really bad, then preferably change rooms (OK not often practical!), otherwise apply fixes in the above order and you may need to go all the way to d).
