You are welcome! I would go with the mini, problem free mac, used or refurbished. Those macmini are tough and silent. And good looking!!!

Silent! That is the word that May swing it for me. It will be in a confined space within a coat cupboard so I don’t want to trouble my better half with wondering ‘what is that noise when I put my cot on?’
You wont know its on. If SSD external drive is directly on you cupboard i suggest putting some isolation little 3m sticking feet (amazon).
