Roon volume leveling

Hi all

Do any of you use the volume leveling function. I seem to be struggling from one track being loud to the next quite. Thought of giving this ago but is probably detrimental to sound quality.

Hi

I have tried it a few times and have not been happy ( I’ve used the Automatic setting )

Cant put my finger on it but things seem a bit less involving

(It does involve a lot more processing / conversion its seems )

I switch off as much DSP by default

Yes I use it almost daily when I’m background listening and exploring Roon Radio. Technically it is slightly detrimental to SQ but I turn it off for critical listening. It’s annoying when I forget to disable it however…

Agreed.

I do not use it for critical listening.
