Any one interested the Nations Championship, just watched the first game NZ v France. Great game won’t mention the result due to time differences. Australia take on Ireland in an hour. Interesting concept ends with a triple header in the UK.
Don’t fancy England’s chances!
I love positivity ![]()

I’d love to be wrong!
It seems like a good concept in theory but the workload for these players has to be a worry, plus the environmental cost of some pretty crazy travel itineraries. I guess it makes sense to have some sort of competition rather than random tour friendlies but at least they tend to be with one team in one country for several games.
I shall watch SA v Eng on catchup when I can. I imagine I’ll be wincing most of the time.
Bruce
Definitely interested in it, I have been looking forward to it.
NZ / France was a good match and hopefully the rest will be the same! Pete it was on this morning and will continue all day so the times are working out ok for us up here. I’m in Northern Ireland so anxious that Ireland get a good start!
I’m more nervous than you. ![]()
I know what you mean but you Aussies are getting back on form and I feel Ireland are just a bit off form. We will see ![]()
I feel for Rob Baloucoune missing out on this one, must be an injury, he had a great 6 Nations.
SA started faster, played more skilful rugby, executed better were more aggressive and dominated the aerial challenge. Apart from a purple patch just before halftime England were 2nd best all the way.
No shame to lose to SA away, but with Fiji and Argentina up next England fans will be expecting some sort of reaction / improvement in the coming weeks. Otherwise Borethwick should really be under some pressure from his employers.
Come on Scotland!
10 minutes to go, come on Scotland!!
Australia v France, half time we were in front and looked the better side. Second half the French just blew us away, put on over 30 points to totally dominate the hapless Wallabies.
I have to agree. At the start of the second half I was sure Australia were on for the win ….. and then, I don’t know what happened, but something did! Sorry Pete, I’m sure it was hard for you to watch.
The only positive thing was the fact that both sides played good open running rugby, it’s just the fact that one side played it much better that hurts.
Yes it was breathless end to end stuff which made it great to watch, especially for a neutral.
It will be my turn next week, Ireland and the All Blacks ![]()
