Rush to Tour in UK & Europe in 2027

Geddy, Alex and Anika Niles are set to tour the UK and Europe next spring.
So pleased to hear this news today.
There are interviews on YouTube defining the format of the shows and the bias towards making them a tribute to Neal.
Simply can’t wait.

I’m a bit disappointed to be honest, as a lifelong Rush fan it’s great that they are coming to the UK but 4 dates with 2 of them in London is hardly a UK tour and is poor reward for all the years of dedicated support from UK fans.

Somewhere a bit closer to the East Midlands would have been nice

It’s a tough one Mike. They’ll be trying to do big venues to give as many as possible a chance to come without having to do too many shows.
They’re not getting any younger and the last world tour they did nearly did for Alex :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Let’s not forget the first leg has had numerous dates added and often with zero fanfare.

Given their age I’ll be sticking with Montreal.

Lucky enough to have pre-sale access so tickets secured for Manchester and London on Tuesday morning. The Manchester tickets were stupidly expensive (cheaper than flying to North America!) but I guess that the geographic area it covers is very large so they were going faster than we could checkout.

There are gaps in their schedule for additional shows at the announced venues but I doubt if other cities will be announced. The long interview was interesting as Geddy said he had been writing lyrics so I suspect there will be some new music coming too.

I went on this morning and after a 15 minute wait go on to O2 for Thursday 18th and was disgusted at the prices, so decided that we’re not going.

how much?

Got three for Manchester as a back up to Montreal. Not telling the offspring. £120 each and we get home within 30 minutes of the gig with ease.

I found it depended on where you wanted to sit. I paid £95 plus fees for O2 in the middle tier. I don’t want to think how much we paid for Manchester - let’s just say the seats had better be great!

3 floor seats £1000, 3 half decent side seats £650.
I didn’t pay anywhere near that for front row seats at the Royal Albert Hall for Joe Bonamassa’s 20th Anniversary concert.
I’ll just live with my memories of the band in their hey day.

I saw Rush on the Moving Pictures and Signals tours. Then saw them next on the Clockwork Angels and R40 tours and tbh they weren’t a patch on the earlier shows. I think you’ll be better off with memories of better shows

Anyone want to see my Deeside Leisure Centre ticket? Cost me £3.50 to go see a band I didn’t really like but had been tortured with repetitively in the sixth form and now here we are.

Just acquired 2 more for Manchester at the £95 rate for a school friend. Had to add a 3rd as we’d have left a seat spare. I’m sure we’ll find a use . We’re not in the same location but it’ll be the first time we’ve been to a gig together since we were at school and being able to go with our respective offspring and have a meet up beforehand will just add to it.

I could live with that .. I’ll see what’s available on general sale .. prob very little!

I’ve just checked availability in London and Manchester and tickets are available around £100. Watch the price for each section as it is ‘available from ….’ not ‘still available to buy’! Best of luck.

You can’t take the money with you! Just convert the price into cm of Superlumina cable and you will feel immediately better.
