I currently use a sub using a single RCA cable from the Nova PE. Can I use a second sub using the remaining sub out from the Nova PE?
Yes. You’ll effectively have a stereo pair. Unless the PE differs from the standard Nova, the “sub” output is simply a preamp out. If it were me, I’d be sure the right-channel output is connected to a sub on the right and the left-channel output connected to a sub on the left.
If the sub output from the Nova (or any other amp) is a stereo output, not a summed (mono) signal, then with a single sub, unless it is connected to both Nova outputs and internally summing them, it will only be reproducing one channel, meaning that whenever in the recording the bass is skewed to the other channel you would lose strength of the sound.
And if a single sub it needs both outputs connecting.
