Sentimental music

I make no apologies for this thread … this evening for no apparent reason a piece of music came to mind: Ernest Gold’s Exodus. As a child I was gripped by it (Paul Newman, Pat Boone et al), and as an adult I discovered Eddie Harris’ version. But it still tugs at the heart strings. It might be construed as nationalistic; that aside, it always brings a tear to my eye.
Many pieces of music do this: Sibelius’ Finlandia, and Vaughan Williams’ Lark ascending, to name but two. What others would you name?

A few that come to mind for me:

Max Richter - November (from: Memoryhouse)
Holly Cole - Calling You (from: Blame it on my Youth)

And this performance from Lara Fabian always gives me chills:
