Has anyone experience of these speakers?
I would welcome your comments.
Thanks.
I heard them briefly at the dealers in Sydney. They sounded pretty impressive, especially for the size. Easily better than the Atalante speakers next to them.
Difficult to draw too much in the way of conclusions on a brief demo but sounded very very clean and non-boxy. Piqued by interest enough to want to hear them again.
Ps: just been to the Melbourne Stereonet show but they weren’t there.
Andrew
I ordered a pair about five weeks ago and hopefully they will get to me in the UK very soon.
I already have a pair is Solidsteel SS6 stands for them to sit on!
@ameads
They sounded better than the Atalante 3?
I’m very interested in these speakers - there are just no dealers here in SA for them.
Well to my ears they did. Take that with a grain of salt…it was a very brief demo of only one track.
I myself am well down a rabbit hole of small speakers. Just picked up Harbeth P3 ESR XDs which are almost new for a good price. I’m not sure I can deal with the lack of bass with these even though they are enjoyable for the most part.
I might add a subwoofer - thinking Buchardt …
Or look at alternatives: Serhan Swift, Epos 7n, Linn 119, something from Fyne. Currently very interested in the Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 or Buchardt E50!
Cheers
I already have a REL S/510 subwoofer.
I home demoed the Serhan Swift Mu2 mkll and they bettered my current B&W 804 diamond floorstanders.
Now into my eighth week of waiting for delivery!
I’m also down a rabbit hole, right now the Neat Acoustics rabbit hole, I have Neat Petite Classics.
I had the Neat Motive SX3 and they were awesome but lacked bass, even in a small room. But the Petite Classics sound much bigger and lower, amazingly so for such a small enclosure. I do not feel any lack of bass with the Petite Classic’s.
But I am not totally sold on the Petite’s new AMT tweeter, I preferred the Focal inverted dome used on the Motive series, to my ears it sounded more natural and real.
The Serhan Swift Mu2 mk2 is double the price and the next obvious step up. Was also considering the Revival Audio Atalante 3 bookshelves.
I now have a pair in white, on order
Brilliant, you will love them!
I have had mine two weeks, now and they are just about run in!
They have been on 24/7 for the two weeks, albeit quietly overnight.
Australia to UK took four days!
I like to use the Tellurium Q break in CD (ripped the wav files). Supposedly each hour of that is equivalent of 5 hours normal music break in.
Its hard to quantify that but it certainly seems to get any speakers I have going.
I forgot I have that CD and an Isotek one
OK I have even updated my profile pic to include the speakers and I have not even received them yet, or know how they sound.
I’m really building this up…
When do you expect to get them?
Your ordered without hearing them?
…I’m confident you will enjoy them!
Yeah I live in a small city Adelaide (you would call it a town) only 2 hifi dealers here in total, and very far from the eastern seaboard. Nearest city is Melbourne and 700kms away. Often I am forced to buy something without audition if I want it. It’s risky with speakers as their voicing can vary so much and its much more subjective than electronics.
Serhan & Swift are having delays due to their cabinet supplier not being able to keep up with demand, something that will be sorted out early next year. I could have had the black colour weeks ago but chose white for a change. My pair should be shipping next week.
You are relatively close to Serhan Swift in Sydney compared to me in the UK!
I had a pair at home to demo and it didn’t take long to decide to buy them!
We had a holiday in Australia in 2019.
We flew into Perth and then took the IndianPacific train to Sydney.
We also stayed in Melbourne and had a drive through Adelaide as a tour from the cruise ship we took from Sydney to Auckland in NZ.
We then had a few weeks in NZ travelling south to Wellington to stay with relatives.
I would like to come back again but it’s a long long way!
Worth waiting for your Mu2s. I hope they arrive soon!
