Serial Numbers

Hi all, I need to date a Naim Cable and was wondering if any dates are available on here?

Cheers..

I am fairly shure that Naim cables don’t have serial numbers (like the hardware does). What they do have is identifying codes on them that can be used to identify who actually assembled the cable at the factory.

I’m sure my powerlines all have serial numbers.

Yes mine have serial numbers too.. I’ll check with Naim tomorrow.

Thanks to all who took the time to reply.:+1:

Answer from Naim support below reference my question sometime ago asking about the age and history of Powerlines.

Thanks for your enquiry, but we do not hold this level of detail on record for cables and interconnects.

So…. What’s the point of going to the trouble of putting serial numbers on the cables in the first place? :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Presumably just to confirm that the cable is a genuine Naim product if your serial no. is one allocated by them, & not one made up by a disreputable source making fake cables?

Also may help in manufacturing flaws when something later comes to light
