The Alessi set appears to be getting alot of interest, Any other sets you like?

Ours was purchased on a whim while in York for a Birthday Massacre gig ( shoe horn in a music relevance) when we had a pre-show supper in a pub on stonegate which happened to be a couple of doors down from a Christmas shop. The Moose is an interloper from a holiday in snowy climes.

Hasn’t someone else on these forums got a set (HH perhaps,?)

Is that the Happy Eternity Baby set?

Probably I’m too late to get it this year, unless I nip into JL in Soton. Coz I’d cough “need” the angels and kings sets as well😀

That is also lovely

It is like a family heirloom Ian, and always makes me smile, thinking of mum. It does, however, get a bit more disheveled each year. One of the sheep now only has 3 legs, and struggles to stand on its own  :rofl:

Send it down south, Sue will knit it a new leg for next year.

The ladies in the family are all enthusiastic (and very competent) knitters. I think this is one of daughter#2’s:

My parents gave this set to us around 1985 for Christmas. They got them on there trip to Jerusalem. They are carved from the local olive trees. Baby Jesus went missing for about 10 years and then showed back up in the crib. It stays out year round.

Thanks yes - I had an excellent run of gifts for her each year and it kept getting harder and harder to keep the standards up. I think this was the peak. A bit reduced to cookery books and a waxed jacket this year

In previous years we have had around five nativities around the house - not sure what happened this year
