Love the use of the pro-level clothes peg for the Eurotunnel ticket

The obligatory clothes peg :joy:.

It’s a must! I bitterly regretted not having one or even 2 when we went over to the Alsace earlier this year. :slightly_smiling_face:

The crew and I are off for a nice wee ride to a country pub for a wee pie and pint tomorrow, Some of the lads are out today but not me I’ve got a didn’t appointment!

I took the old Kat up to Hunstanton on Thursday. It is still running in after its restoration, so still taking it easy.

As a young bloke, I can remember going to the local raceway and watching one of these race. It must’ve been around 1980. It was silver, and to an eight-year-old, it was absolutely breathtaking. I still recall the rider coming off and the bike flipping end over end repeatedly. He was fine, though I’m not sure how the bike ended up. It was a big deal at the time, as the rider was quite well-known in our small town. He also used to race an XL500, famous for pulling a wheelie down the back straight always finishing last on the Honda of course :joy:.

That’s quite a well stocked shop!

That was upstairs I believe it to be the owners Muse, and not for sale.

I’ve done around 2000 miles on my three month old Tiger, so just about coming into her own and feels absolutely great. Very pleased so far after all of the running in is done. I much prefer the 1200 over the 900 for various reasons. I gave her clean yesterday after a week’s worth of wind and rain. Soon I shall think about applying some protection from the salt roads for this progressively oncoming winter here in the UK.

Happy riding all.

This picture should just remind me of the wonderful scenery and D129 road towards Vezelay, closer inspection reveals what a mess I made of trying to clean the Sat Nav…

Great trip, we stopped at;

Montreuil sur Mer, Honfleur, Amboise, La Rochelle, La Barboule, Vezelay and Arras.

Sadly age’s aches and pains forced me to sell.

I’ve just received my resoled Daytona Boots back today from the Boot Repair company. It looks like they’ve done a really good job. The boots are 7 years old and my 2nd pair in 18 years. You ‘can’ send them back to Germany for repair but this is much more difficult and expensive post brexit. I was recommended the BRC by Motolegends who are one of Daytonas biggest sellers.

As you can see by the before pic it looks like I’d been doing too much of the ‘Doctors dangle’ impression…

Hey everyone! I’ve got to share the thrill of my latest adventure with my beloved 1290 Super Duke GT. I got it brand new, and now, with 6,500 kilometers under its belt, I finally gave it a proper thrashing on the ride back from Greymouth to Christchurch, NZ. And let me tell you, it was pure exhilaration! That 1301 cc V-twin engine is an absolute powerhouse, delivering torque and thrills in equal measure. The WP active suspension is just sublime, making every corner feel like the bike is glued to the road. It goes exactly where you dare point it, whether you’re taking it easy or pushing the limits. And those Continental Speed Attack 4 tyres grip more than enough, amazing technology, just adding to the thrill of the ride. I was literally buzzing with excitement, it was one of the best days I’ve ever had on two wheels and with my cloths on!. Still grinning from ear to ear!

My younger brother has a RZ supra running around 600 hp, wouldnt touch the ktm for fun not even close. Ive tried to tell him……

Sorry to hear about the GS.. it’s such a problem these days.

Hope you enjoy the GT, they’re a lovely bike.

And the electronics are absolutely superb. KTM really nailed it there. l also highly recommend the PowerParts seat. It’s not too pricey, gives you an extra 13mm of leg stretching glory (I’m 6’4"), plus it’s heated which is always nice when your backside starts questioning your life choices halfway through winter’s ride. At first, it feels a bit firmer than the stock seat, but don’t be fooled it’s much kinder to the gluteus maximus over a long trip. And being able to slide a cheek with ease (compared to stock) is a game changer for the very occasional spirited GP riding moments. It’s just so nice to have that road riding usable power just where you need it.

Interesting farmyard there inviting me to wander round with my camera, just the sort of thing I enjoy…

Oh and the bike in nice…

(my riding days long over, but enjoyed some old bikes in the 60’s and 70’s, owned a Vello for a long time!)
