The other night I had a sleep over at my brother’s place … I witnessed these two cuties being prepared for their breakfasts. They are mother and son … time to check out how genetics works!

Those, type unknown to me, speakers look like a great place for a puppy or kitten to stash a favourite toy. I am not really a dog person, but even to my eye, she does look lovely.

It’s been more than 6 months since my beloved Felix passed away. The picture above is just him snuggling in the music room.

I miss him, this will be the first winter without him, and trying to be enjoying the garden without him

Some things which happened subsequently.

I was stubbornly running my BMW into the ground with 700K km on it, and the car started acting up, it seems the exhaust and catalytic convertor were defective since a long time.

This seems to have been leaking a tiny amount of carbon monoxide into the cabin, which. made me a lot more fatigued and depressed.

It was Felix’s untimely death that led to me to using paid version of Open AI/ CHAT gpt to understand what a blood clot was in a cats, and it was the same tool that helped me to understand what was happening to me and get rid of the car to scrap finally.

Since then (getting another car) my health has improved considerably. Felix - I am sure is happy about this, looking down at me from the heavens.

I was always worried about his poor health (being a Scottish fold) I knew he would decline because of his defective gene, I guess felix only had 8.5 years on earth to live and I am in a way thinking that he is free of this body that was declining in health. I do wish I had a few more years with him. Even another day, or…even another hour.

My love is music is somewhat back, and I am enjoying the tunes somewhat again, this is what my Felix would have wanted?

Badge update #2

Prior to this morning’s walk Badge decided he wanted to have a ball to play with once we got to the main field. The first piece of context is that with failing eyesight / smell he finds it hard to find the ball; the second contextual piece of information is that it’s the stick season, balls have been hidden away since September. Nevermind all this he wanted to play with a ball. I modified my chucking technique so that the ball lands close to where he was waiting - good times had by all.

, despite the longish grass.

Mo has been on and off the tray repeatedly today, trying to go for a wee. Just small blobs here and there came out. He’s never done this before, so late afternoon I took him to the vets, as I didn’t like the thought of him having a blockage, especially if it meant going through the night too.

Just come back from the vets and his bladder is empty, which is good. I was told it is very likely Feline Idiopathic Cystitis, caused by stress. She mentioned fireworks is a very common cause at this time of year. Funny enough, there have been commercial hedge trimmers doing the bowling green area for the past two days, making a racket.

At the vets, I put him in his cage on a waiting room chair and 10 seconds later it fell off! Just not his day.

Paying the £120 bill, on the counter was some YEOWWW Catnip toys. Lady assured me these work. They do!

Here’s Mo just now, playing with his new friend. Does he look like he’s seriously ill and about to keel over?

Hopefully gets better on its own then.

Mine still like playing with the long empty catnip tub. The force must be strong…

She prescribed Cystease and Metacam to reduce inflammation and stress. I decided to take them myself instead.

Working from home is proving to be a bit more difficult again today. The keyboard was simply pushed aside so that King Louis could have enough space.

Here is Papaya again, Bollino saw her passing outside, chasing and fighting her. Definetely he’s not friendly with her, so i captured Bollino and finally calmed down.

Disa greets the arrival of Magnus, an occasional visitor.

Upon his arrival today, Mr Tux remained hidden out of sight but could be heard constantly growling.

Magnus (another Tuxedo cat) is Mr Tux’s bitter nemesis, the feral villain that has in the recent past ruffled Mr Tux’s tuxedo, and on one contentious confrontation gave him a trip to the vets…

However, Disa regards Mr Tux as mere toleration, she allows him to stay to chill-out and be cool if he behaves but she can and does chase him out the garden when he gets too crotchety, …which of course happens too frequently with Mr Tux.

Meanwhile, Magnus (romantic picture below) is on the charm offensive with Disa, and Disa seems happy to tolerate this allure for quite a while.
