The Petite Panthers are in a very good mood today. One of the Sureflap Microchip cat flaps developed a fault and was consuming batteries at an increasing rate. At their insistence, I contacted Sureflap on Tuesday. Yesterday, they asked for more info about the problem and photographs of the failing cat flap, which I duly sent. And today email to say that from the information I have sent them, they are sending out a new cat flap as it is likely unrepairable. The boys and I are very impressed with the excellent service. I guess buying a good brand with a great reputation is worth it.
Here is the offending item, with a concerned PP, letting me know it needs to be fixed.

I love terriers, yours looks wonderful, our Glen Of Imaal terrier is almost 16 and a half and is struggling with life at the moment, where did all those years go, seems like no time at all when he was destroying everything in the house as a puppy. It’ll be an interesting Christmas for you, have fun!

I felt guilty when I ignored the little red flashing light a little too long and didn’t replace the batteries. Only for a cat with a sore nose to stare at me from the other side of the window.

Which reminds me that I must get onto Sure.

One of the water fountains appears to have died electronics wise, no telemetry is being received by the system. That is probably terminal. Still dispenses water though, the delivery is purely “mechanical”.

We have a Sureflap between the utility and the catio, but cannot persuade our three to use it.

Magnus looks like a real villain, mr. Tux has much more elegant demanour

All feral tom cats are villains, it’s in their nature to fight and defend their wide span roaming territory, they need to find food, shelter, seek out queen cats, fight any domestic male cat that happens to be around, and not to mention relieving themselves on doorsteps which is very stinky…

Morpheus was a villain before capture and trip to the vets :scissors:
While he was feral he viciously attacked my neighbours two male cats, one needed veterinary treatment after. I saw this happen and it was horrible.

When properly ‘domesticated’ Morphy became chilled out and one very happy cat with the acquisition of a warm cosy household to call his own…
But in his turn was attacked by another feral, Schneider who was brutal with claws and teeth that left poor Morphy with a wound very close to one eye which needed veterinary treatment.

Magnus is simply the next phantom feral in line to plague and terrorise the neighbourhood, the sooner he gets caught the better.

Mr Tux is different; a genuine felis domesticus grumpyras basketcaseious breed.

Hi Chris - Yes I agree, terriers are wonderful. Our last two dogs were Airedales, lovely dogs, great temperament and a big heart - if a little stubborn! After the last one died, we decided they would be too big for us now we’re older so we’ve downsized! Watson is great fun and now he’s had his jabs we can get out and about. He’s very naughty though and I’m wondering what to do about the Christmas tree!

She is not pleased with the haircut - particularly the shampoo which takes away her carefully cultivated aromas (mostly goose sh*t).

Not mine, but this takes some beating

When it’s time to get up because “someone” wants a sleep more the you do.

Don’t knock it you know the old saying “let sleeping dogs lay” there’s a reason for it. Our boy wakes us around 6 every morning (often earlier) and won’t stop annoying us, thankfully he targets my wife, till we get up and take him for a walk. Love him to bits but god he’s a pain.

Same here Pete, he’s in his crate in the bedroom every night.

But is vocal at 5:00am ‘ish and wants to have a wee, then breakfast after

I let him up on the bed after that when I have a nap during the day. He then hogs the bed and I’m left with a small corner….and he’s not finished growing yet. He’s only 5m old - but 23kg already, he’ll be a BIG boy.

Perhaps I’m up for a King size bed instead of my queen size in the near future  and it’s only me too…

Ours jumps on the bed gives me a cuddle than playfully attacks Mrs Pete till we get up. I’ve tried just taking out for a pee but doesn’t work.

Our last dog would sleep in as long as you did, he’d go to 10am plus. And if it was raining he wouldn’t go out. :upside_down_face:

Neighbour was out for a stroll with “Dijon" and swung by.

I suspect that there was an ulterior motive but Mrs Willy didn’t take the bait.

My past boxer was doing the same when he wanted to go for a walk

This one looks like Toby, the boxer I had 30 years ago.
