So sorry to hear this. Hope you both recover from this shocking incident.
Good grief, that looks horrendous, best wishes and a speedy recovery to you both.
Thank you all! I take her out for a short walk in the morning and fingers crossed she be ok. She looks in good form tonight indoors with a wagging tail. It’s hard to understand the love we have for our 4 legged friends that enrich our lives so much.
After many, many days of ceaseless rain something akin to spring has arrived here. Makes going out not a chore. Today was the first in over a month that I’ve been able to walk the 2 miles “round the block” with Zhukov. Last weeks op has made a big difference.
Appointment came through this morning for follow on surgery on 27th. If they find sufficient internal healing by then and can safely remove the remainder of “Rocky” then that should be it. ![]()
Willy.
Wife had a bad cough ongoing, now diagnosed as asthma. Nurse decided to do some more bloods…..a liver scan followed and found she has gallstones. She has had the odd pain in her shoulders, which can be due to gallstones. Discussion with doctor tomorrow….never know what us round the corner.
Was on a (social) Zoom call, Friday before last, and out of the six in the call I was the only one that still had a gall bladder!
My Mother and both sisters all had their’s out. My brother still has his but he is a long term kidney stone sufferer.
Willy.
Mum had gallstones and a kidney stone…….remember visiting her in hospital. A jar of very hard gallstones and another with what looked like a very large runner bean seed. She had been in agony, hope your bruv gets sorted.
He just pisses them out whilst they’re still small enough to do so. Unconformable but a better policy than I’ve followed.
Willy.
That sounds very traumatic
Hope that you are both recovering
Ian
Horrid thing to happen. Hope your pooch is fully recovered soon!
Nasty business! I do hope that she recovers fully and will put the attack behind her and continue to enjoy her walks. Was it a dog off the lead that went for her?
It was a woman in her 60’s with 3 working retrievers, it was on a lead but she obviously didn’t have the strength to keep hold of it. I was leaning down to put mine on a lead at the time but I don’t think it would have mattered much as it only had one intention.
Sounds like some other dog owners in the village have also had trouble with this dog before.
Will see if I can find out where she lives and if she has insurance as it was £890 in vets fees, also it really needs to be on a muzzle so it doesn’t happen again.
Anyway we went out walking earlier, it was mostly fine but she’s was nervous when we saw a few dogs so kept our distance, lucky she met one she knows and it went well.
So lovely
He is a lovely boy……you can do anything with him…….loves a cuddle, playing, sitting on your lap. If i have a Sunday afternoon doze……he sneaks on me and has another nap. His sister is lovely too, but a bit of a diva…….and just wants to be near me, or needs my help to get on the window sill, opening doors etc![]()
He almost seems unreal
Marlon had a run in with another dog last week and ended up with a puncture wound right front leg. Both dogs were off leash and had been playing for about 10 minutes before things got ugly, hard to say who’s dog was at fault but the owners of the other dog didn’t ask how Marlon was just walked away. He recovered quickly but still bungs on a limp when necessary, funny how he forgets about it on his walks.
