Heard the P3 50 th ann. with Exact mm and neo ps, sorry to say but it sounded very boring, 100% opposite of the Naim sound.

Gosh, opinions may vary … this one is ugly!

The plinth looks like it’s plastic.

DG…

Metal. I like the design personally very much.

Last change was to replace Townshend Pods with Gaias. The Pods were slightly more effective, but did noot suit aesthetically.
Origin Live Sovereign TT with Conqueror tonearm and Humami Red.

You’re nobody unless you’ve got a really big deck.

It’s like a piece of art and nice engineering. Not about owning or not.
I like to watch also at supercars or innovative homes. But not saying myself « God, I want that.! ».

I have the 1200G as well and love it. I have been thinking for a while about replacing the mat and the headshell both for auditory and visual benefits.

Im torn between Origin Live and Funk Firm Achromat for the mat. Not sure yet what headshell to go for though. I do like the looks of Yamamoto HS-5S but the price is a bit more than I want to pay.

Having tested and instantly rejected a mat change away from the stock mat on another deck (my TEAC, not my Technics) recently so I’m very wary of swapping in an exotic mat.

However, Timestep, who know more about modding the SL-1200 than anybody, recommend the Oyaide mat and it’s not expensive. Tempted to give it a try.

I’ve been eyeing the Korf headshell myself. If you like the Yamamoto, perhaps consider the 6 instead as they’re a bit lighter.
