Rega Storm Trooper
Nicer than mine, which has a black plinth. Didn’t knew that you could have white plinth. Is it a recent possibility ?
Not a fan of the white ceramic platter, for the look. With a white plinth, the tt looks better. Even quite nice. Gorgeous ? No.
But for the money you won’t find something better and hassle free.
I’d stick with the P3 or eventually Stretch to RP10
I think it is fairly recent, but all Rega turntables (except the Naia) can now be bought in white
Too sad, I want white « Mum «
It’s partly white
You can’t believe how pleased I am to be showing you a turntable
My very best wishes
Ian
Just reviewed the AT ART-20 and it’s a wonderful match for the Gyro/SME IV sonically and visually.
I love the way that all three elements - turntable, arm and cartridge look like they’ve been designed by engineers not marketeers!

Naia ?
Yes it’s the model up from the RP10
I tried the Inspire Acri Mat years ago.
Thought I’d try it to stop the Linn felt mat being lifted off with the record through static.
Killed the music dead.
DG…
Drool time
I had the P8 before the P10. While the P10 is of course better, it’s not dramatic and I could easily have gone on with the P8 - it’s just that I had the funds, the itch to upgrade and really liked the looks of the RB3000 arm! P8 with Ania/Ania Pro is really good, but is taken to another level when adding an Apheta 3 (which I did shortly before moving to the P10). My LP12 (which was part of my home office system in my former house) is now sold and while I do miss the classic turntable look, the P10 is just a better fit in my current environment - it sits on top of the Ikea furniture unsuspended and doesn’t skip or wobble whereas with the LP12 I had to tip toe around (and while I could have used a wall shelf, I discarded the idea for aesthetic reasons).
Tahanks @PSAN … I’m indeed considering an Apheta 3 when it is time to replace the Ania cartridge (no idea about the lifetime) … the P8 is really good indeed and my better half reaaly likes the looks better than the LP12.
The RB3000 arm looks lovely indeed!
What did you reject? I find TEAC’s Washi paper mat for €30 works a treat on my Lenco platter? The two sides sound different but eventually I settled on white side up. It doesn’t like record weights.
I have a TEAC deck with plain stock TEAC felt mat. I tried the excellent rubber mat from my Technics deck but it was an awful combination.
I think if the mat on the TEAC is to be upgraded, maybe another felt like the Collaro would be better.
Since one year I have the Clearaudio Concept with a Grado 2300 MM cartridge through the Naim stageline.
Upgrade to MC is in the making, but first a set of new monitors.
