Show us your turntable

Following the earlier reference to the P77, I did a search as I am sure there is an old body tucked away somewhere. A repeat recommendation is a Jico SAS stylus, but then surprisingly a suggesting that the body is a Sumiko Pearl.
Not sure I want to spend £250 on a stylus to check it out.

I suppose it’s technically off-topic, but I enjoy seeing the interesting audio equipment that FR finds on the internet. Perhaps a new “Unique audio gear from the internet” thread?

Good idea.

Tomorrow I will go to my dealer and listen to this - clearance of the ones in stock.

I heard one of those yesterday, Ana Mighty Sound had one in Paris when I dropped my Schröder off to go back to Frank for a rewire and checkup. It didn’t give the Dohmann/SAT combo too much of a hard time but it didn’t disgrace itself either, both through Thrax and Stenheim.

While I was there I borrowed a SUT to try with my SPU Century and stageline N while the superline goes back to base for a mod to stop the motorboating problem it’s been having when used with Korf and supercap DR. He only had a silver one in 1:26 and my experience with silver and Naim suggests it might not be a complete success, the capacitance of the stageline is a bit high too but it’s that or a Michell iso I haven’t used for nearly 20 years or the 1042.

I love your obscure turntable photos, like most of us I could never afford some and many look as if they have been designed by designers who have had too many magic mushrooms :mushroom: for breakfast

Please set up a thread :thread:

Best wishes

Great idea

We all know what a Linn Sondek looks like with its various arms and plinths but it would be fantastic to see what’s out there and what forum members are using on the front of their naim electronics

No, that happened long ago,and the Technics has replaced the PE.

I know it says so in the last photo, but I did also recognise the Origin Live tonearm. Amazing looking set-up you have there, can you share some details please??

Thanks gethack.

It’s a Gold Note Bellagio Reference with Origin Live Enterprise 12” and Gold Note B7 tonearms. The carts are Titanic Audio Model S and Clear Audio Virtuoso V2 using Clear Audio Balance V2 phono (stage line for the MM cart). The cables are Chord Sarum Tuned Array to the phono and Chord Shawline to the TT power supply. The latest addition is the Origin Live Strata mat which was an incredible upgrade that I can honestly recommend to anyone.

Next year I will be looking for a new phono probably RCM theriaa.

Nice! I have a soft spot for Origin Live, despite not owning any of their hardware other than a platter mat before. I auditioned one of their Aurora decks, with Encounter arm, despite ultimately buying a Technics. The arm was really nicely made, and I think the SQ was very very good. Thanks for the details

That picture was taken today though. I do still own both decks, but only really use the Technics.

Same! The tonearm was one of the biggest upgrades I have ever made but pound for pound I think the strata mat is probably the best upgrade there is!
